And has made it up to 40 hits with the Rival Schools addition too
Oro and Akira have only been available to play in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition for mere hours at this point, but the lab monsters are seemingly working faster than ever to uncover any busted tech they can muster.
That certainly applies to the combo composer extraordinaire Desk, who’s already released a handful of videos for the new fighters, including showcasing a 63-hit combo with Oro and a neat string with Akira that goes on for 25 seconds.
Interestingly for Desk’s first attempt with Akira, he doesn’t use her combo-extending V-Trigger 2, but instead opts to summon Daigo for the big pop.
After a brief jump in combo, he shows off how easily Akira can get a second jump in going from her brother leaping down onto the stage before launching M. Bison up into the skies with her second V-Skill.
From there, he manages to land 10 jumping light punches in a row followed by two more kicks to activate the juggle limit. This gives Akira just enough time to hit the ground and use Critical Art to close out the round in flashy fashion.
Meanwhile, Desk’s initial go at Oro exemplifies how out of hand the hermit’s Tengu Midare Stone VT2 can get racking up 35 hits in about 4 seconds by mostly just using jabs, but he apparently wasn’t satisfied with that performance.
Just a little while ago the maestro came back for an Oro encore where he already produced a full combo showcase video for the hermit clocking in at almost two minutes and forty seconds.
The grand finale reveals Oro can loop his EX and regular fireballs at least three times (at least against Abigail) before busting out the Tengu Midare Stone once again to reach even farther heights with a 63-hit combo.
You can sit back and enjoy all of Desk’s combo exhibitions with the new SF5 characters below.
